For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. These things command and teach. Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:10-12
Our student ministry is called the Revolution Student Ministry because it seeks to do more than make a change, but rather to make a powerful and dramatic impact upon our culture, community, and church, turning them upside down for God’s glory. Students in the 6th to 12th grades are encouraged to join us as we seek to draw closer in our relationships to Christ and seek opportunities to serve.
Our mission, is to partner with parents making disciples of students who will love and serve others and one another as Christ Followers.

Our vision, is to seek, through Bible study, small groups, activities, and events, to guide students into a personal, growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ so that they might become true Christ followers. It will endeavor to build personal relationships with students, coming along side each one in order to encourage spiritual growth and leadership development. It will seek to assist students’ as they transition into the adult ministries of the church becoming its future leaders.

Every Sunday morning, beginning at 9:30 AM, the teenagers of Rockwood First Baptist meet for a time of prayer and Bible learning. We gather for prayer then divide into two groups, young women and men, where we dig deep into the issues facing our teenagers using the Word of God as our foundation. Each group is facilitated by faithful adults; however, teenagers are encouraged to speak up and out during each meeting. This is not a time of lecture like most traditional Sunday schools. It is a small group dedicated to growing spiritually by building meaningful relationships and study of the Word of God together. We meet in the teen room upstairs in the education building.
Sunday Night Live, or SNL, is a bi-weekly gathering which meets at 6:00 PM on Sunday nights. This is a time of fellowship, team building games, service project opportunities, hang time in the gym, snacks, worship, teaching and small groups. Dates for SNL are announced on the church’s app, online calendar, youth ministry social media accounts, and Sunday morning bulletins.
Every Wednesday evening, teenagers gather together for prayer, worship, Bible study, and a time of fun. We begin at 6:00 PM in the church Sanctuary and move to the gym in the fellowship hall where we are served a hot meal and have a time of fun. Students in 6th to 12th grades are invited and encouraged to come and be a part of our Wednesday evening service and activities

Whether at home in our Jerusalem or some other part of the world, The Revolution Student Ministry Service Teams seeks to go out and serve those around us for the glory of God and the increase of His kingdom. Service Teams can help church members with yard work, aid in construction projects, serve our first responders, collect needed supplies for those in need, or travel to mission fields outside of our Jerusalem to work and share the gospel of Christ. This ministry seeks to encourage our students to engage others in gospel conversations in every area of outreach.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives…one heart at a time. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport to reach every coach and every athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.

The Rockwood FCA holds to the values of the national FCA organization. We seek to influence students, athletes, and coaches with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. With faithful teacher sponsors, our Student Pastor, Joe Storey, can minister within the local schools as an official, volunteer, FCA Character Coach. This allows our church to reach out and minister to all students and teachers weekly.

A long-time ministry of the Rockwood First Baptist youth Ministry, Overtime Explosion is a ministry that seeks to minister to youth, players, coaches, and parents after Rockwood High School’s home football games. This will be a time of food, fun, and time of spiritual reflection.

For students, a week at camp is exciting, fun, loud, and sometimes even messy. But those things don’t bring about life-change on their own. Every moment spent at FUGE is intentional. Camp programming is designed to take students out of their normal routine and place them into an environment that is focused on life-change through relationship with Christ.
