Preschool Ministry

There are multiple ways to get involved with the preschool ministry, including:

Sunday School

Classes meet at 9:30 a.m. on the 1st floor of the Sanctuary building. You can stop by our Sunday School Welcome Center, located on the 1st floor of the Education building, for more information. One of our leaders will not only tell you about the class, but take you to it so that you don't get lost.  This is just one more way for us to let you know that we're glad you chose to come to FBC.

AWANA

AWANA meets on Sunday evenings throughout the school year. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls for Christ and to train them to serve Him by hiding His word in their hearts. Children in preschool (2 years old) through 5th grade learn and recite Bible verses each week and study God’s word. They also have a fun-filled game time during the evening. To be a part of this ministry, simply come to the sanctuary at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings.

Children's Choir

The Children’s Choir is a graded choir program that includes children in preschool through 5th grade. It is our goal that each child involved in this ministry grows both spiritually and musically. To be a part of this ministry, simply come to choir at 6:15 pm on Wednesday evenings. Classes meet on the 2nd floor of the Education building.

Weekday Preschool

Believing that “Children are a gift from God” (Psalm 127:3), First Baptist Church of Rockwood Preschool provides an environment in which children will grow “In wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:40). We are dedicated to the love and nurture of each child as he / she is encouraged to develop socially, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. In a creative atmosphere, we offer age and developmentally appropriate activities that meet individual needs and encourage healthy self-esteem. Most of all, we want the children to know that they are acceptable and lovable just as God created them. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm and follow the Roane County School System Calendar.
