Music Ministry

At First Baptist Church, we believe that individuals need to worship God, for it is in worship that we commune with Him, grow in Him, respond to Him, and offer our praise and thanksgiving. Personal and corporate worship is something that God desires, and that we need. God has chosen music to be an expression of our worship to Him. Additionally, what we do in music and worship communicates the gospel of Jesus Christ for all to see and hear. Your gifts in music and worship are God's gift to you. They are unique to you and serve a special purpose in God's plan. It's exciting to know that God uses people like you and me for eternal purposes!

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is a group of people who love to use their voices in the praise and worship of God. While we are blessed with some outstanding musicians, most of us are ordinary church members who have a heart for worship and service.  If you love to sing, we would love to have you join us in choir. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights at 7:30pm.

Instrumental Ensemble

Our instrumental ensemble is an exciting group that leads through playing an instrument. If you love to worship through playing an instrument contact Bro. Ben McNees. 

Handbell Ensemble

Our current handbell ensemble is open to adults who read music and is based on openings in the group. Handbells occasionally provide music for worship services throughout the year, but more extensively during Christmas and Easter seasons. The ensemble rehearses each Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Main Building in the Handbell Room.

Student Choir

Student choir is for students in grades 6-12.  Our desire is use our voices in the praise & worship of God.  No audition is necessary, just the desire to use your voice to praise the Lord.  Rehearsals are Sundays at 5:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

Children's Choir

The Children’s Choir is a graded choir program that includes children age three through 5th grade. It is our goal that each child involved in this ministry grows both spiritually and musically. To be a part of this ministry, simply come to choir at 6:15 pm on Wednesday evenings. Classes meet on the 1st floor of the Education building in the Fellowship Hall.
